    I offer focused, professional genealogy research designed to answer specific questions, break through research roadblocks, and provide clarity when records conflict.

   Genealogy research is billed at $95 per hour. Because every family history project is different, each project begins with an initial research phase of 2–3 hours, depending on the scope of the request.

Important Note About Research Outcomes

​

   Genealogical research is highly variable. Each family leaves behind a different record trail shaped by time period, location, record loss, name changes, migration, and accessibility of records.

​

   For this reason, research is billed hourly rather than by guaranteed outcome. While results cannot be guaranteed, every project includes professional analysis, documentation, source citations, and clear recommendations for future research when applicable.

  • A focused research question or resolving a research roadblock (“brick wall”)

  • Verifying or building a family tree

  • Evaluating conflicting or contradictory information

  • Confirming or disproving a research theory

  • Unknown parentage & DNA-related research

Research Travel

Some research questions require accessing records that are not available online or fall outside the standard service area.

​

If your project requires travel beyond local archive lookup services:

  • Travel availability will be discussed in advance

  • Costs will be estimated and approved prior to scheduling

  • This service is typically reserved for extended or more complex research projects

​

If you’re unsure whether your project requires travel, feel free to contact me to discuss your needs.

Additional Research Time

If further research is recommended after the initial session:

  • Additional research is billed at $95 per hour

  • Time is billed in 1-hour increments

  • Continued only with client approval

  • No automatic charges or surprise extensions
